Supposedly Microsoft is filing with NIST some sort of release of a 2003 patent that might otherwise apply to SIKE. NIST required each submission to file patent claims/disclaimers this week; please check the scans once they're posted and ask on pqc-forum about anything unclear.

Quite a bit of discussion at #NISTPQC of staying safely away from patents on post-quantum crypto. Various submitters emphasize they're patent-free. Microsoft says it's giving up a potentially relevant 2003 patent. NIST is collecting patent statements and will post them soon.
